Community Outreach
Village Rise’s Community Outreach program focuses on individualized, case-based support for children and families facing urgent or highly specific needs. Through direct assistance, scholarship support, emergency response, and community-centered care, this program allows Village Rise to respond thoughtfully and compassionately to circumstances that may otherwise go unmet.
Unlike broad-scale programming, Community Outreach operates on a deeply personal level, recognizing that every situation is unique and often requires tailored support rooted in trust, dignity, and long-term care.
Through close collaboration with local leaders, community organizations, and trusted partners, Village Rise works to ensure support reaches individuals and families in ways that are both meaningful and sustainable.
At Village Rise, we understand that not every need fits within a structured system or large-scale initiative. Across the communities we partner with, many individuals and families face urgent circumstances that require immediate, flexible, and compassionate support.
Community Outreach was created to ensure that people facing vulnerable situations are not overlooked simply because their needs are individualized or difficult to categorize. Whether supporting a child’s education, assisting a family during displacement, or responding to a personal hardship, this program allows Village Rise to meet people where they are with empathy, dignity, and care.
Our Approach
Our approach is rooted in listening first.
We work closely with trusted local partners, community leaders, and families to understand the realities people are facing before determining how support can be most helpful. Rather than imposing external solutions, we prioritize community-led decision-making and personalized care that respects cultural context and lived experience.
Grounded in collaboration, empowerment, and long-term sustainability, Village Rise works alongside communities as a trusted partner, supporting solutions that are shaped by the people closest to the need.
Because this work is highly individualized, portions of Community Outreach are funded through designated private support, including One Foundation, allowing Village Rise to respond responsibly and thoughtfully to sensitive situations while maintaining dignity and confidentiality for those receiving support.

Project Highlight
Qusheh-Sou Football Pitch | Golestan Province, Iran
In rural Golestan Province, many young people across surrounding villages lacked access to safe recreational spaces and organized community activities. With limited opportunities for sports, connection, and positive social engagement, local leaders identified the need for a shared community space that could bring youth together in meaningful ways.
In partnership with Danehaye Mehr and local community leaders, Village Rise helped support the construction of the Qusheh-Sou Football Pitch, a community-centered recreational space designed to foster teamwork, confidence, leadership, and connection through sports.
The project was built through a collaborative effort involving local youth, skilled laborers, village leadership, and regional partners. Community members actively participated in construction efforts, creating a strong sense of ownership and pride within the village.
Today, the football pitch serves over 1,000 teenagers and young adults across 15 surrounding villages and benefits approximately 5,000 people throughout the region. Beyond sports, the space has become a hub for community gatherings, tournaments, festivals, and youth engagement.
More than just a field, the project represents the power of community-led development and the lasting impact that shared spaces can have on connection, wellbeing, and opportunity.
“Before the football field was built, we didn’t really have a place to come together. Now we play here almost every day. It’s become a place where we make friends, feel connected, and forget about our worries for a while.”
