Our Impact

Driven by a lifelong commitment to humanitarianism, Village Rise was founded in 2020. What truly sets Village Rise apart is the profound love and selflessness woven into its philanthropic work. Deep personal ties and friendships, some cultivated over decades, form the bedrock of each project. Rather than assuming what a community needs, Village Rise prioritizes listening and engaging in open dialogue with grassroots initiatives, fostering strong, trusting relationships. This approach ensures that projects are organically and locally developed, funded in ways that genuinely meet the community's needs and empower them, rather than fostering dependence.

Since its inception, Village Rise has partnered with organizations across three countries, bridging linguistic, cultural, and racial divides. This work uplifts communities globally, enabling individuals to live with dignity and pride.

  • Education: We've built and renovated schools, like Dane haye Mehr 1 and 2, creating modern learning environments for hundreds of students. Our support for boarding schools, including study halls and resources, ensures that students from even the most remote areas have access to quality education.

  • Health: The new Roadside Emergency Center (urgent care) in Qaranki jungle village is a lifeline for 7,000 residents, dramatically reducing emergency response times.

  • Community: The Qusheh-Su and Yanbolagh football pitches have become hubs for community activity, fostering unity and providing safe recreational spaces for thousands.

  • Culture: We're helping preserve the unique Turkmen heritage through initiatives like the Altyn Perde music program and local cultural festivals.

  • Basic Needs: We provide regular food and essential item distributions to families in need, addressing the challenges of poverty and food insecurity.

  • Arts and Creativity: We're empowering girls through visual arts workshops and bringing the joy of street theatre to communities throughout the region.

Our Impact in Jamaica

Jamaica, a land of rich heritage and vibrant spirit, faces persistent challenges that impact families and limit opportunities for youth. Village Rise, in partnership with Independent Baptist Mission for Jamaica and the Dominican Republic (IBMFJ & TDR), is working to break cycles of poverty and empower individuals to build brighter futures.

Our programs address critical needs:

  • Saturday School: A Safe Haven for Learning: Our Saturday School provides a safe haven for children aged 3-15, offering educational support, meals, and a positive alternative to life on the streets. We provide essential resources, from school supplies to furniture, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive.

  • The Third Base: Building Men of Character: We've journeyed with two young men in "The Third Base" program for three years, providing mentorship and support to help them overcome systemic challenges. We're committed to helping them develop into responsible and self-sufficient adults, challenging traditional gender norms and creating positive role models in their community.

Our Impact in Niger

Village Rise partners with Amman Imman to provide education and support for young women and girls in Niger through creating a boarding school in the city of Takra.

In the remote communities of Tattiste and Fak, Niger, the path to education for girls is often blocked by formidable challenges: early marriage, poverty, and a lack of accessible, quality schooling. These obstacles can rob girls of their potential and limit opportunities for their entire community.

Village Rise is working to change this story. Our partnership with Amman Imman and Hamsa Girls Education Center (HGEC) provides a lifeline for determined girls who dream of a brighter future. We support girls through secondary school, providing not only tuition and boarding, but also essential academic support, medical care, and a nurturing environment at HGEC in Tahoua. Mother-educators from their communities provide crucial cultural and familial support, ensuring the girls thrive both academically and personally.

We're directly addressing the issues that keep girls out of school. By investing in their education, we're empowering them to break the cycle of poverty, delay early marriage, and become influential leaders in their communities. We're helping them build a foundation for financial independence and the ability to make informed choices about their health and well-being.
