Village Rise works through trusted local partnerships, community-based collaboration, project oversight systems, and regular communication with in-country teams.

Yes. Village Rise oversees and supports a trusted organization on the ground in Iran called Danehaye Mehr, which helps coordinate and implement local humanitarian and community-based initiatives.

All projects in Iran are conducted through Danehaye Mehr and are currently supported using personal funds held in Iran by Village Rise founders and board members. At this time, Village Rise has not transferred U.S.-based funds into Iran for project implementation.

Village Rise does not currently operate under a specific OFAC license. However, applicable U.S. humanitarian general licensing frameworks permit qualifying nonprofit organizations to transfer up to $500,000 USD over a 12-month period for authorized humanitarian activities. Village Rise has not yet utilized this authorization but may do so in the future as programs expand.

Village Rise maintains internal oversight, budgeting, reporting processes, and ongoing communication with local partners to help ensure responsible stewardship of donor support and project implementation.
